The Glastonbury Tor, the Mendips and the Somerset Levels are all within easy reach of this unique Glamping holiday that would be perfect for a weekend break or short romantic holiday.
Len’s Hut is a triumph of top quality craftsmanship and bespoke design – a fantastic example of what can be achieved in a small space. There is a luxurious double bed with a no-expense spared mattress and plenty of storage underneath, an integral shower-room and WC – no need for night-time expeditions by torchlight – a wood-burning stove, a brilliantly fitted kitchen area and little dining-table with stools, mains electricity (mood lighting inside and out) and WiFi.
In front of the hut there is space to sit in privacy and enjoy the tranquility. Eat outside, use the herbs from your own herb garden, and when livestock aren’t grazing in the meadow you can forage in the hedgerows for autumn blackberries and ripe sloes.
You will have a totally different experience here from start to finish, from the moment you park up your car and load your luggage into the barrow to walk the short distance across the field. You can lie in bed at night with the top of the stable-door open and listen to the silence and feel the fresh air, you can eat your meals outside, you can forget time and give yourself some space.
This excellent location does also give you the opportunity to visit the wonderful Georgian city of Bath, the Cathedral City of Wells and colourful, mystical Glastonbury, to walk in the Mendips and visit Cheddar Gorge and the cave system at Wookey Hole, or to set off across the Somerset Levels where the traditions of centuries are still evident. Or you can abandon the car and explore the network of local footpaths.
